  • Aarushi becomes one of the 6 finalists (out of ~50 submissions) for the ASME/SPIE Best Student Paper Award and receives honorable mention for her presentation. Congrats!

  • MInDS is awarded ICTAS Diversity and Inclusion Seed Grant for a research partnership with Hampton University.

  • MInDS is awarded ICTAS REU Grant focusing on acoustic cell sorting research. 

  • Aarushi receives the conference-level Best Student Paper Award (out of 6 symposia) in the 2017 ASME SMASIS Conference and is honored in the conference Pioneer Banquet. This work is in collaboration with MultiSMArt Laboratory (Dr. Mirzaeifar) at Mechanical Engineering Department. Congrats!

  • MInDS is awarded ICTAS Diversity and Inclusion Seed Grant; this grant is given by Institute for Critical Technology and Applied Science at VT to build direct faculty-to-faculty research partnerships between MInDS and Hapmton University as a part of HBCUs under-represented college programs. One visiting student from Hampton University and two undergraduate students from MInDS are involved in this research project. 

  • MInDS attends 11th Energy Harvesting Workshop in Arligton, Virginia with a technical presentation.
